When customers request a custom order, they often attach inspiration photos—and invitations are a frequent source of those ideas. But when it comes to designing a cohesive cookie set, finding enough creative inspiration can be challenging. You might reach out to fellow cookiers for advice, but waiting days for enough responses can delay your process. In this post, I’ll show you how AI can become your go-to tool for sparking creativity and helping you get started faster!
Process Overview
The entire process takes less than a minute! First, we’ll use ChatGPT to generate a prompt that captures the style and vibe of the invitation. Then, we’ll take that prompt and plug it directly into ideogram.ai to generate some realistic and inspiring cookie designs.
Step 1: Generate image prompt
I have created a custom GPT called Matching Cookies that produces a consistent and high quality prompt. You simply copy & paste the invitation image to the chat and you will get a response.
Tip: Sometimes in order to get more accurate results, you might need to adjust the prompt. For example, you can remove unwanted details from the prompt to prevent them from appearing in the generated images, or you can follow up with additional requirements. Remember, you don’t always need an image—this GPT can also provide creative ideas based on your description.
Step 2: Generate cookie designs
Then you simply put the generated prompt into ideogram.ai and wait for the magic to happen!

Try Different Styles
Ideogram offers various image styles for you to explore. By default, it’s set to “Auto,” allowing the algorithm to choose a style from five available options for each image in a batch. For instance, in a set of four images, you might receive one in the “General” style, another in the “Realistic” style, and two in the “3D” style. In my experience, the 3D style can sometimes deliver surprisingly good results, so I often choose to generate a batch exclusively in that style. I recommend experimenting with all the styles, especially the first four, until you find the right inspiration for you.
